A Life of Productivity tip #87: ‘To be more creative, don’t set traditional goals: set ‘process goals” is a simple idea and I really like it: instead of aiming for an ultimate achievement, aim to do the steps you need to reach that achievement. So: instead of aiming to write a book this year, aim to write a thousand words a day.
This tip appeals to me because it’s about goals you can control (hey, I rhymed!), so it applies well to elections. So instead of aiming to win the election, I’m setting a goal of how many Fallowfield residents I want to speak to, with the help of my ‘campaign team’, every week, between now and the election.
(And no, I’m not going to put my contact target on the internet. But I will let you know how I’m getting on with meeting it.)
